Al Mayadeen correspondent spoke about the consequences of Israel's strikes on Iran

The Israeli attack on Iranian territory resulted in dozens of civilian casualties, including women and children, as well as the deaths of senior Iranian military and nuclear scientists. Al Mayadeen correspondent Malik Abeda told Izvestia about this on June 13.
"In addition, as a result of the Israeli attack, several commanders of the Iranian armed forces were killed, including the commander of the Iranian General Staff, Major General Mohammed Bagheri, IRGC Commander Hossen Salami, as well as the director of Khatam al-Anbia Construction Headquarters, controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)," he notes.
Information about the deaths of at least six Iranian nuclear scientists, including the former head of the Iranian Energy Agency, Feridoun Abbasi, caused particular attention.
"This event has caused widespread criticism from government agencies, the armed forces and the General Staff of Iran. The criticism contains general provisions. The first point is that the Israeli occupation entity has crossed a red line. Therefore, Iran also has the right to "ignore" this red line when responding in the coming period. The second point of the statement is the inevitability of an Iranian response as revenge for the Iranian martyrs, leaders, scientists and civilians who died during the Israeli attacks," Abeda said.
It also became known that Iran refused to participate in the next round of direct nuclear negotiations with the United States. The UN Security Council has called for an urgent meeting to discuss the consequences of these Israeli attacks.
Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. According to the latest data, about 250 raids were carried out.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure. He called the beginning of the operation a success. At the same time, UN Secretary—General Antonio Guterres expressed concern and recalled the obligation of UN Member states to act in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.
