An unpredictable magnetic storm has begun on Earth

A magnetic storm has begun on Earth, which could not be predicted in advance. This was announced on June 13 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).
The laboratory's website indicates that the storm began at 23:00 Moscow time on June 12 and continued the next day, reaching the G2.3 level, which shows that this geomagnetic disturbance is more intense than average.
The cause of the storm is not yet clear, and it was not in the geomagnetic forecasts. At the same time, the density of the star's plasma has been increasing recently, but the speed of the solar wind remains stable.Газета.Ru ".
On June 4, the IKI RAS reported that a magnetic storm had ended on Earth, which lasted 66 hours. It became the longest since April 2017.
