Iran reported damage to the Natanz nuclear facility after an Israeli strike

Israeli strikes have damaged the Iranian nuclear facility in Natanz, but there are no signs of radiation or chemical contamination. This was reported by Tasnim news agency on June 13.
"As a result of the aggressive attack by the Zionist regime on the Natanz nuclear facility, no nuclear contamination occurred at this facility," the publication quoted the head of the security and law enforcement service of the province of Ishafan.
It is reported that no one was injured as a result of the Israeli strike on the facility. The Iranian authorities are assessing the damage caused by the Israeli attack.
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, said that the IAEA is in contact with Iranian nuclear safety authorities to establish the state of nuclear facilities after the Israeli attacks.
"Nuclear facilities should not be attacked under any circumstances," he said in a speech that was broadcast on the agency's page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Earlier that day, the IAEA reported that the Bushehr nuclear power plant had not been attacked by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and radiation levels at the Natanz nuclear facility remained within normal limits.
Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. At least five people died as a result. In addition, two more people were killed and six injured as a result of Israeli strikes on the city of Tabriz. According to the latest data, about 250 raids were carried out.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure. He called the beginning of the operation a success.
