Middle East expert compared Netanyahu and Zelensky

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are similar, as they both need conflict. Ahmad Vakhshiteh, an expert on the Middle East, told Izvestia about this on June 13.
"I think Netanyahu and Zelensky are very similar <...>. For Zelensky, the world is the most terrible scenario, because (they will immediately say goodbye to him. If there is no conflict in the Middle East, Netanyahu should also say goodbye," the expert noted.
According to him, it is currently unknown whether negotiations on the nuclear program between the United States and Iran will take place in connection with the current situation. He believes that Israel struck before the negotiations between Iran and the United States to create a bloc between the two sides.
The state was also interested in seeing Tehran's reaction, the expert added.
Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. At least five people died as a result of the incident. In addition, two more people were killed and six injured due to Israeli strikes on the city of Tabriz.
In turn, Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation was to attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure.
