Israel called the dead Iranian commanders "ruthless killers."


Representatives of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the dead Iranian commanders were "ruthless killers." The Israel Defense Forces posted a message on the social network X (Ex. Twitter), which confirmed the deaths of three high-ranking officers.
The IDF said it had eliminated three high-ranking officers: the chief of the General Staff of the Iranian army, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the head of the emergency command.
"These are three ruthless mass murderers <...> The world is a better place without them," the IDF said in a statement.
Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. At least five people died as a result. In addition, two more people were killed and six injured as a result of Israeli strikes on the city of Tabriz. According to the latest data, about 250 raids were carried out.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure. He called the beginning of the operation a success.
