Coal wagons derailed in Kuzbass


On June 12, seven coal wagons derailed in the Kemerovo Region without tipping over. This was announced on June 13 by the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office in its Telegram channel.
"According to preliminary data, yesterday at about 21:00 local time (17:00 Moscow time) at the Mezhdurechensk station <...> during shunting operations with a freight train, 7 coal wagons derailed from the access road without tipping over," the report said.
Two recovery trains were involved to eliminate the consequences.
Currently, employees of the department are establishing the causes and circumstances of the incident and organizing an inspection on the implementation of legislation on traffic safety and operation of railway transport.
Earlier, on June 10, freight train cars got off at Cape Churkina station near Vladivostok. The wagons loaded with coal did not overturn, and there were no casualties or fatalities as a result of the incident.
