On June 13, a court in the United States banned President Donald Trump from deploying the National Guard amid protests. This was reported by the Axios portal with reference to the United States District Judge Charles Breyer.

Earlier, on June 10, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that he had filed a lawsuit to immediately stop the "militarization" of Los Angeles by the Trump administration.

The Axios article says that the judge called the decision to introduce the National Guard illegal. According to Breyer, Trump should immediately return control of the National Guard to the governor of the state.

"The administration filed a notice of appeal shortly after the decision was made," the media said.

On June 8, mass protests began in California, they occurred after a police raid to identify illegal migrants, during which 45 people were detained. On the same day, Trump ordered the National Guard to be sent to the state to stop the riots. The governors of 22 states condemned this, regarding the decision as an "abuse of power."

On June 10, the head of state announced that the US National Guard would be recalled from California only when it was safe in the state, as well as when the situation with the protests was resolved.
