By July, prices for stone fruits such as apricots, peaches and nectarines will drop to 50-60%. About this on June 12, "Gazeta.Ru" was told by Igor Balynin, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

"By mid—July, prices for apricots, peaches and nectarines in the markets, according to my forecasts, will be 50-60% lower than current values, as well as in chain stores — twice lower than current values," the economist said.

The expert bases his forecast on observing an increase in the number of promotions for these seasonal products, as sellers and companies will attract buyers with low prices as a result of competition.

In Russian stores, 1 kg of apricots now costs from 170 to 450 rubles, peaches — 300-700 rubles, nectarines — 199-799 rubles.

Earlier, on June 8, the head of the Berry Academy project, Irina Koziy, gave advice on choosing berries. She recommended taking berries from the nearest farms.
