An extraordinary meeting of the Chamber of Deputies (lower house) of the Czech Parliament on the issue of passing a vote of no confidence in the Cabinet of Ministers is scheduled for June 17. This was announced on Thursday, June 12, by the Idnes portal.

It is specified that the government of the country will face the fourth attempt of the opposition to pass a vote of no confidence. As indicated, 50 votes are enough to make a statement, and the proposal was signed by about 64 deputies.

The reason for the extraordinary meeting in the publication was the scandal with the acceptance of bitcoins worth about € 40 million by the Ministry of Justice, after which Pavel Blazek left the post of head of the department.

According to the portal, discussions on the issue can take place over two days — on June 17 and 18.

On May 30, it was reported that Blazek resigned from his post after a scandal involving the receipt of about a billion crowns in bitcoins from convicted drug trafficker Tomasz Irzykowski by the ministry under his control.
