At least 622 guests of a five-star hotel were evacuated due to a fire in the Turkish resort of Alanya. This was reported by the IHA news agency on Thursday, June 12.

According to the agency, the fire engulfed the five-star hotel at night. Previously, the fire started from the ground floor.

"Firefighters have made efforts to rescue tourists trapped on the upper floors of the hotel. In total, 622 tourists were evacuated in one hour of the operation," the article says.

At the same time, three tourists were hospitalized due to carbon monoxide poisoning. The injured hotel guests are accommodated in neighboring hotels, the agency added.

Earlier, on March 27, in the Turkish city of Bursa, one person died in a hotel fire. According to preliminary data, the hotel was not functioning at the time of the fire. Earlier, the court ordered the eviction of the hotel.
