The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation began checking after insulting participants in a special military operation (SVO) by a female blogger from Irkutsk. This was announced on June 12 by the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee for the region in the Telegram channel.
"During the monitoring of the media and social networks, a video was revealed in which a woman publicly expresses judgments that undermine the authority, image and trust in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the ministry said.
An investigation by the investigative authorities has been organized into this fact of the ball, and a procedural decision will be made based on the results.
Earlier, on May 23, the Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined 84-year-old blockade survivor Lyudmila Vasilyeva in a case of discrediting the army. The amount of the fine imposed on the pensioner will be 10 thousand rubles.
On April 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on criminal liability for discrediting the Russian army. The law also tightens criminal liability for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation due to personal hostility or due to receiving financial payments.
