Rescue operations continue at the crash site in India


Specialists continue to work at the crash site of a passenger plane near the airport of the Indian city of Ahmedabad. Footage from the scene on June 12 appeared at the disposal of Izvestia.
"The rubble is currently being dismantled. <...> Operations are underway to save as many lives as possible," said journalist Meghna Dev.
It is specified that several fire trucks and special services, including disaster response forces and military units, have been sent to the scene.
The plane crash in India became known earlier that day. There were 242 people on board the plane, including two pilots and ten flight attendants. It is noted that the airliner crashed into the building of a dormitory for doctors.
According to the latest data, more than 290 people died as a result of the plane crash. NDTV reported that the cause of the Air India flight crash could have been a collision with birds. One of the passengers survived the crash — he turned out to be a 40-year-old British citizen.
