The governor of Florida allowed motorists to knock down protesters

Residents of Florida have the right to shoot down protesters with cars if they pose a threat to the people in the cabin. This was announced on June 12 by the governor of the state Ron Desantis.
"We also have a policy according to which if you are driving down one of these streets and a crowd appears that surrounds your car and threatens you, you have the right to run for your life," Newsweek magazine quotes him as saying.
As specified by "Gazeta.Ru", Desantis noted that the fault in the event of hitting a protester in such a situation would not lie with the driver of the car.
"Therefore, if you drive away from them and bump into one of these people, then it's their fault that they collided with you," the head of state added.
On June 11, police in New York detained more than 80 participants in riots and protests against the migration policy of the US government. According to the newspaper, police used pepper spray during the clashes.
Earlier, mass protests began in California after a police raid to identify illegal migrants, during which 45 people were detained. On June 8, US President Donald Trump ordered the National Guard to be sent to the state to stop the riots, which was condemned by the governors of 22 states, regarding it as an "abuse of power."
