Military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation distributed humanitarian aid to residents of the Kursk region on Russia Day. This was announced on Thursday, June 12, by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The Russian soldiers provided everything they needed — stew, cereals, condensed milk and hygiene products.

According to local residents who thanked the military, there are fewer strikes by Ukrainian militants in the Kursk region at the moment.

"Now it's almost as if nothing ever happened," said one of the civilians, Elena Mulyar.

Earlier, on May 21, the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinshtein, reported that more than 113 thousand residents of the border areas of the Kursk region received monthly payments. It was specified that the amount of funds amounted to 65 thousand rubles.
