Pistorius rejected consideration of supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine


Germany is not considering the transfer of Taurus long-range cruise missiles to Kiev. This was announced on June 12 by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius after a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
"Whether we will consider this option, my answer is no," Pistorius said, answering the relevant question, the event was broadcast on the DRM News YouTube channel.
Earlier in the day, the head of the German Defense Ministry arrived in Kiev on an unannounced visit. According to the DPA news agency, he planned to discuss with the leadership of Ukraine the provision of new military assistance to it.
In May, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz evasively answered a question from journalists about the supply of Taurus missiles to Kiev. According to him, the intention of closer cooperation was confirmed on this day.
