A festive car rally was held in the Serbian city of Nis in honor of Russia Day. This was announced on May 12 by the press service of the Russian Center for Science and Culture "Russian House" in Belgrade.

"A column of cars with tricolours marched along the picturesque routes of the city, symbolizing the unity and friendship of our fraternal peoples," the center's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the rally was organized by members of the society of Russian-Serbian friendship and Russian compatriots "Naisus" from Nis.

Earlier in the day, Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov, Alexey Zubritsky and Kirill Peskov, who are on board the International Space Station (ISS), congratulated the Russians on Russia Day. Zubritsky emphasized that the Motherland is not just the place of birth of a person. First of all, it is a place of strength, where a person feels connected with the past in his heart and builds a future for his family.
