The laureates of the State Prizes of Russia shared their emotions from the award

Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the medals of the Heroes of Labor and the State Prizes of the Russian Federation in the St. George's Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace on June 12. The laureates shared their emotions from the award ceremony with Izvestia.

According to Vyacheslav Zintsov, an electrical fitter at the Tver Carriage Building Plant, it was a great honor for him to receive the title of Hero of Labor.

"I've dreamed of being a worker all my life. For me, the title of worker is a pride, a very great pride. And I tried not to let my parents down, my parents are native car builders, and I went myself, my wife worked, my brother worked, my son worked. In general, we had a whole dynasty there. And now it's like the result of my work on my chest," he said.

Alexander Chubaryan, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), scientific director of the Institute of Universal History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who became a laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of humanitarian activity, noted that receiving the award on Russia Day gave him strength.

"Besides, I have looked at the list of laureates who have received this award, it is a great responsibility for me. Because these were all people who had done a lot for the country, so I see this as an incentive for myself," the academician added.

Nikolai Kuznetsov, the head of the St. Petersburg State University Department, mathematician, who received the State Prize in science and technology, also expressed his desire to continue his work.

"There is a great sense of satisfaction and pride for the work done, and most importantly, it is an expression of trust and encouragement in further hard and persistent work," he stressed.
