204 bodies have been found at the crash site of an Air India plane en route from Ahmedabad to London. This was reported on June 12 by the Indian newspaper Hindu with reference to the Commissioner of Police of Ahmedabad Gyanendra Singh Malik.

Rescue services have also been dispatched to the medical college building where the plane crashed. It is specified that the former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani, could have been on board the plane.

The circumstances of the crash are being clarified, and the rescue operation continues.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that a plane crash occurred near the Ahmedabad airport in India. There were 242 passengers on board, including two pilots and 10 flight attendants.. Later it became known that the airliner crashed into the building of a dormitory for doctors. The local police reported that, according to preliminary information, all those on board the plane were killed.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his deep condolences to the Indian leadership over the tragic consequences of the airliner crash.
