Mishustin noted the importance of increasing cooperation with Belarus.


On Thursday, June 12, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held telephone talks with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Turchin and noted the importance of strengthening cooperation between Moscow and Minsk.
"The heads of government stressed the importance of further enhancing Russian-Belarusian cooperation and strengthening integration in the Union State," reads a statement posted on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation.
During the conversation, the Prime Ministers discussed the implementation of joint cooperation projects in various fields. Turchin also congratulated Mishustin on Russia Day.
On June 10, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov said that coordination between Moscow and Minsk has no equal. The minister added that the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Russia also cooperate closely, as do Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko.
