German Defense Minister Pistorius arrives in Kiev to negotiate military aid

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kiev on Thursday, June 12, on an unannounced visit. This was reported by the DPA news agency.
The agency clarified that he intends to get acquainted with the situation on the ground and discuss with the leadership of Ukraine the provision of new military assistance to it.
"We are doing everything possible to support Ukraine so that it can defend itself and find itself in a position where Russia will be ready for serious negotiations," Pistorius said.
On June 8, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that 2025 would be a record year for Ukraine in terms of military aid. It is noted that Germany will allocate €5 billion to Ukraine, Belgium — €1 billion, Norway — €700 million, Sweden — €440 million, the Netherlands — €400 million and Canada — $45 million.
At the same time, the leader of the Patriots party, Florian Philippot, said that French President Emmanuel Macron, having undertaken to help the Kiev authorities, did not leave a single cent for the army of his own country, giving all the national money to Ukraine.
