Two people were killed and six injured in an accident in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, on the federal highway M-12 Vostok, two people were killed and six injured in an accident involving three cars. This was announced on June 12 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region.

According to preliminary data, the accident occurred on June 11 at 23:34 on the 596th km of the M-12 highway in the Pilninsky municipal district. The driver, a woman born in 2003, who does not have a special license to drive vehicles, was driving a Mercedes, which had a tire torn off in the process. After that, the car ran over a jackhammer wheel and stopped on the right side of the highway.

A Mitsubishi car driven by a man born in 1981 stopped to help the victim. An Exeed car with a driver born in 1988, traveling in the same direction, collided with a parked Mercedes and Mitsubishi and overturned onto the roadway.

"As a result of the accident, a 25-year-old passenger of a Mercedes car and a 20—year-old pedestrian who were on the roadway died on the spot," the department's Telegram channel said.

The driver of the Mercedes, as well as two passengers of the Mitsubishi, a girl born in 2007 and a young man born in 2012, as well as the driver of the Exeed car and his two passengers born in 1993 and 1961, were taken to medical institutions.

On the same day, in the Alarsky district of the Irkutsk region, a LADA Granta passenger car collided with a mini-tractor, resulting in the death of six people. The accident occurred at night in the area of the 28th km of the Cheremkhovo –Golumet –Onot highway.
