Canadian swimmer McIntosh sets third world record in five days

Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh has set a new world record in the 400m backstroke, improving her own achievement. This was announced on June 12 by the International Aquatics Federation (World Aquatics) on the social network X (formerly.Twitter).

Now the record is 4 minutes, 23.65 seconds — 0.73 seconds faster than her previous result (4.24,38).

This is the third Macintosh world record in five days of the Canadian Championship. Earlier, she became the best in history in the 400 m freestyle (3.54,18) and 200 m combined swimming (2.05,7).

On April 12, German athlete Lukas Mertens set a new world record in 400 m freestyle swimming. He showed a result of 3 minutes 39.96 seconds.
