A man's body was recovered from the rubble after a rock collapse at the Sarylakh mine in Yakutia. This was announced on Thursday, June 12, by the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

"An injured man was extracted from under the rubble, he was hospitalized in the Central District Hospital (CRH) of Ust-Nera, Oymyakon district, his condition is satisfactory. Unfortunately, the body of the second man was found and recovered from the rubble without signs of life," the Telegram channel said.

An investigative task force led by the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Sakha is following the scene of the incident.

The operation of the mine has been suspended to identify the cause of the incident.

The collapse of the rock at the Sarylakh mine in Yakutia became known earlier that day. The incident occurred during the cleaning work at around 286 m. There were 25 people on the horizon at the time of the accident.
