- In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, an emergency mode was declared due to a fuel spill on the Yenisei.

An inter-municipal emergency has been declared in the Krasnoyarsk Territory due to a fuel spill from a tugboat on the Yenisei. This was announced on Thursday, June 12, by the head of the Kazachinsky district of the territory, Yuri Ozerskikh.
"An inter-municipal emergency regime has been introduced. This is necessary to ensure effective cooperation between all services and departments involved in work to eliminate the consequences of the fuel spill into the Yenisei River," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
126 people and 40 pieces of equipment are involved in the spill response.
The situation at the accident site remains under control, Ozerskikh added. Liquidation work is actively underway.
On June 9, it was reported that a leak of petroleum products occurred in the Kazachinsky threshold of the Yenisei River in the Krasnoyarsk Territory due to damage to the hull of the ship. The investigators have begun conducting procedural checks under Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violations of the rules for handling environmentally hazardous substances"). Later that day, it was reported that the amount of fuel leaked from the ship had increased to 30 tons.
