The media reported on the EU's plan to impose sanctions on Chinese banks

The European Union (EU) is planning to impose sanctions against two small Chinese banks because, according to Brussels, they allow Russia to circumvent trade restrictions. This was reported on June 11 by Bloomberg, citing sources.
"Under the proposed sanctions, financial institutions based in the EU will be prohibited from conducting any transactions with two regional lenders based near China's border with Russia," the agency noted.
At the same time, the media does not name banks that can be added to the list of institutions that allegedly help Russia circumvent EU sanctions.
Earlier, on May 28, it was reported that the EU authorities are preparing a new, 18th package of sanctions measures against Russia, while simultaneously discussing with the United States this project to tighten restrictions. US President Donald Trump has threatened to strengthen sanctions against Russia in the absence of an agreement on Ukraine.
