The calculation of the 2C4 "Tulip" self-propelled mortar of the Vostok group of forces destroyed the fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Yuzhnodonets direction of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday, June 12.

The fortifications, which were used by the enemy to shelter equipment and personnel, were discovered during reconnaissance. The coordinates of the targets' location were transferred to the Russian mortar crews. The Tulipan crew promptly prepared the gun for operation and fired several aimed shots with 240-millimeter active-rocket ammunition. As a result, the enemy's fortified positions were destroyed.

"[When working with the Tulip,] long-range mines with a range of 19 km are used. The loading process includes mounting on a slide, screwing on the fuse, and a powder charge with a deflecting cartridge. It is a fairly powerful weapon that demolishes fortified fortifications well. Depending on the filling of the mine, we can work on accumulations of equipment and manpower, which is what we are doing," said the commander of the calculation with the call sign Helix.
