- The US Treasury warned Congress about the consequences of tougher sanctions against Russia

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Wednesday, June 11, that the U.S. administration is considering all possible options for resolving the Ukrainian conflict, and asked Congress to give more opportunities for this, taking into account the possible consequences of the potential adoption of a bill on sanctions against Russia.
"Economic leverage remains an important component of the administration's strategy to end the conflict. All options are being considered. The Finance Ministry is ready to take measures to help achieve lasting and lasting peace," TASS quoted the Finance minister as saying.
When asked what additional resources the Ministry of Finance needs to comply with the sanctions regime, the head of the department stressed that the United States "has all the necessary resources."
Earlier, on June 7, Bloomberg reported that the US Congress would not pass Graham's bill on new anti-Russian sanctions without the approval of American leader Donald Trump. According to the agency, the bill has about 80 co-authors, which is an "unheard-of" level of bipartisan support.
