A history textbook for 12th graders has been released in the Republic of Moldova, which distorts the events of the rebuilding of the Moldavian SSR by the Soviet Union after World War II.

"In most cases, they were people with a careless attitude to work," Vasily Moiseenko, a journalist from Izvestia, quoted the textbook on June 11.

There are discussions in the Republic of Moldova about the withdrawal of this textbook from circulation.

"Today, on the one hand, there is talk of removing the textbook from circulation, because it is <...> criminal, extremist and does not reflect the real objective history that took place on our land. On the other hand, the authors, the Ministry of Education and the scientific team involved in its publication are trying to defend the right of this textbook to be in the education system of the Republic of Moldova," said Alexey Petrovich, head of the Russian Historical and Patriotic Club.

The residents of the Republic of Moldova themselves do not consider it necessary to study the history of other countries, even if it has influenced the history of their state.

Earlier, on June 5, the head of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kravtsov, said that the unified school textbook on literature would be ready within two years. Kravtsov added that in parallel, a list of extracurricular literature will be compiled, which should be in every library in the country.
