The court placed the rector of Gatchina University under house arrest


In the Leningrad Region, a court placed the rector of Gatchina State University under house arrest in the case of organizing illegal migration. This was announced on June 11 by the court's press service.
"House arrest has been imposed on the rector of Gatchina State University, who is accused of organizing illegal migration," VKontakte reported.
It is clarified that under the leadership of the defendant, foreign citizens were provided with fictitious documents that allowed them to illegally stay in Russia. As a result, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest for a period of one month and 18 days.
The day before, in the Leningrad Region, the Federal Security Service (FSB) stopped the activities of employees of Gatchina State University who issued study visas for money to citizens from the Middle East without actually studying at the university.
