- The Kosovo authorities expressed their willingness to accept foreigners deported from the United States

The government of self-proclaimed Kosovo has confirmed that it is ready to cooperate with the United States on the reception and temporary resettlement of third-country nationals "in accordance with the conditions set out." This was reported on June 11 by the CNA portal.
According to the decision of the authorities, up to 50 people can be temporarily resettled within one year to "facilitate their safe return to their country of origin."
"The government has expressed its willingness to participate in this process, with the possibility of selecting individuals from the proposed list, provided that they meet certain criteria related to the rule of law and public order," said Cabinet spokesman Perparim Kryeziu.
The US Department of State (DASH), for its part, also confirmed that the countries of the Balkan region are involved in contacts as part of a broader US strategy to deport foreigners without permanent status, adds "Газета.Ru ".
On the same day, The Washington Post (WP) newspaper, citing sources, announced the intention of the administration of US President Donald Trump to send foreigners who are in the country illegally to the United States military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. At the same time, there are no plans to send notifications to the governments of the migrants' home countries about sending people to this fortified facility.
However, White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt soon commented that this media information was false. Leavitt called WP's publication "fake news."
