The expert named ways to buy a smartphone without overpaying

The smartphone market today offers devices for every taste and budget. Nikita Zubkov, Megafon's mobile equipment manager, told Izvestia on June 15 how to make the best choice.

"When choosing a new gadget, it is important to correlate its characteristics with real needs. Not everyone needs a top-end processor or a huge amount of memory. Modern mid—range models do an excellent job of basic tasks," Zubkov said.

For everyday use — calls, instant messengers and social networks — a smartphone with a high-quality screen and a good battery is enough. Photography enthusiasts should pay attention to a camera with optical stabilization and sufficient memory.

The expert recommends that gamers and users of resource-intensive applications take a closer look at last year's flagships: they retain high performance, but become more accessible after the release of new products.

Smartphones with AI functions deserve special attention.

"AI functions are diverse: voice assistants, smartphone optimization, health care and smart photos will be useful to many. When choosing a smartphone with artificial intelligence, it is worth paying attention to models from Chinese manufacturers that offer an impressive set of functions at an attractive price," Zubkov explained.

To save money, the expert advised to keep an eye on seasonal sales. The most profitable offers, according to him, appear in late November and early December. It is also important to specify the configuration: some brands include a charger and accessories in the kit, while others are limited only to the cable.

"The main thing is to choose a device for specific tasks. This will allow you to get optimal functionality without overpayments," the specialist summarizes.

Earlier, on May 22, it was reported what signs there may be that the phone is being used remotely. So, if the smartphone starts to overheat in standby mode or quickly discharge, this may indicate the launch of malicious processes, including those related to data transfer to external servers.
