A criminal case has been opened into the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the settlement of Maryino, Kursk region. Three children were injured in the attack, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported on June 11.

On the evening of June 10, Ukrainian militants, using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), dropped at least six explosive devices on an apartment building located in the village of Maryino in the Rylsky district of the Kursk region. The apartment building suffered significant damage.

Military investigators interrogate the children's grandmothers. She said that the children were in their room when explosive objects were dropped on the apartment building. The ceiling collapsed on them from the massive attack, and they all suffered head injuries.

During the investigation of the criminal case of a terrorist act, in accordance with paragraphs "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"), forensic medical examinations were ordered to determine the severity of the harm caused to the health of the victims. Representatives of the armed formations of Ukraine involved in the crime are also being identified.

Earlier, on June 2, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked civilian targets in the city of Kursk. During the investigative measures, fragments of the UAV were found. They were sent for an explosive forensic examination.
