Sweden will supply Latvia with Archer artillery systems and train them in how to operate them. This was announced on June 11 by Swedish Defense Minister Andris Spruds.

"Sweden undertakes to supply Latvia with 18 Archer artillery systems. <...> Joint military exercises, training of soldiers and the effective presence of Archer artillery systems will begin in 2026," he wrote on his page on the social network X (former. Twitter).

Spruds added that the deliveries will be carried out within the framework of ensuring Latvia's security.
