Activist Greta Thunberg, after Israel seized the Madeleine ship en route to the Gaza Strip as part of a humanitarian mission, was bullied by Israeli soldiers. This was reported on June 11 by Politico newspaper with reference to the French doctor Baptiste Andre.

"I don't have the legal qualifications to clarify what happened, but there were acts of abuse," he told the publication.

According to the doctor, despite the fact that the soldiers did not use physical violence against the detainees, the Israeli border guards mocked the passengers and deliberately deprived them of sleep and rest.

According to Andre, as soon as someone fell asleep, they turned on music and danced. In addition, passengers, including Thunberg, had difficulty accessing food and water on the ship.

On June 9, Thunberg accused the Israeli authorities of kidnapping after not allowing her ship, the Madeleine, to enter Gaza on a humanitarian mission, as the activist herself stated. In her appeal, she called on her family, friends and colleagues to put pressure on the Swedish government to achieve the immediate release of all participants in the mission, including herself.

Shortly after that, on June 11, the activist returned to Sweden. She also told reporters that the protesters "were aware of all the risks."
