The incidence of acute respiratory viral infections decreased by 17.5% in the Murmansk region

Over the past week, almost 2.5 thousand cases of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) were registered in the Murmansk region. The incidence decreased by 17.55%.

According to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, 60.2% of the cases are adults. A decrease in the number of SARS cases is registered in all age groups.

The share of influenza viruses in the morbidity structure decreased from 83.3% to 66.7%. In addition, MS viruses, rhinoviruses and bokavirus are circulating in the region, Bi-port news agency writes.

Experts note that the decrease in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza in Russia is much faster than last year. The season of respiratory diseases is almost over. The incidence is below the epidemiological threshold by 33%.
