The Russian Ambassador noted the reluctance of the French to conflict with Russia
A large number of French citizens reject Russophobia and do not want their country to conflict with Russia. This was announced on June 11 by Russian Ambassador to Paris Alexei Meshkov.
"There are many sensible people in France today who are not interested in breaking up and confrontation with Russia, rejecting Russophobia and advocating the restoration of cooperation," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
In addition, the Russian Ambassador in Paris also expressed hope for the resumption of cooperative relations between the two countries. He recalled that Russia and France had been allies during the years of "severe trials."
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said on May 7 that despite the deep political crisis in Paris, the bond between the peoples of Russia and France will remain the same, and the feeling of friendship and mutual sympathy between the countries will not be destroyed.
