Romanian and Iranian citizens were injured in the school shooting in Graz.


Eleven people are in hospital with injuries after an attack at a school in Graz, Austria, including eight Austrian citizens, two from Romania and one from Iran. This was announced by the Styrian police on June 11.
"The victims are 11 people between the ages of 15 and 26, among them eight citizens of Austria, two from Romania and one from Iran. Currently, the lives of the victims are not in danger," the agency wrote on its page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
It is specified that as a result of the incident, students aged 14 to 17 died: six girls and three boys. According to the Styrian police, the suspect was a 21-year-old former student of the school, who also died.
On Wednesday, June 11, at 10:00 local time (11:00 Moscow time), a minute of silence was held throughout Austria in memory of the victims of the tragedy. Citizens are carrying flowers and candles to the scene of the tragedy in Graz, and many events around the country have been canceled.
The shooting at the Austrian school occurred the day before. Previously, the attacker opened fire in two classrooms. The body of the attacker was found in one of the school toilets. Later, a suicide note was found in his house.
Interior Minister Gerhard Karner said that nine people died and 12 others were injured in the tragedy. Shortly after, Austrian Chancellor Christian Stoecker declared three days of mourning.
