Russians were told about the methods of employers' struggle with employee burnout

About 90% of Russian companies recognize the impact of burnout on their business processes, but only 45% of them deal with issues of mental health of employees. This follows from a study by the AI mental health service Via MD and hh.ru , the leading online recruiting platform in Russia, which was reviewed on June 13 by Izvestia.
"Today, only 13% of employers consider team burnout to be a far-fetched problem and an excuse for employees who do not know what they want in their careers. This problem is relevant for all categories of professionals, both millennials and zoomers. Contrary to the opinion that young professionals experience burnout more often and faster, only 20% of companies note the detrimental effect of the new trend on the new generation Z," said Magomed-Amin Idilov, founder of the AI mental health service Via MD.
Among the main causes of burnout are: excessive workload and lack of resources (66%), a toxic work atmosphere (58%) and a mismatch of tasks with the interests of employees (52%). The greatest emotional exhaustion is observed in the areas of HR (50%) and sales (44%).
Despite the awareness of the problem, 55% of companies do not take any action to solve it. Of those who work on mental health issues, 26% organize corporate trips, 15% organize sports events, and 11% provide additional days off.
According to the study, companies that are actively involved in the mental health of their employees note an improvement in the emotional climate in the team, increased employee initiative in solving new tasks and accelerated resolution of crisis situations.
Practicing psychologist Elena Loseva told on June 9 what causes burnout and how to deal with it. According to her, emotional exhaustion is an official disease listed in the International Classification. It arises from the depersonalization of a person and some kind of diminution of dignity and personal achievements."
