Law enforcement officers detained an employee of the Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service (UFSIN) in the Smolensk region, who was trying to sell drugs to convicts for a monetary reward. This was reported on June 11 in the press service of the regional department of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) of Russia.
It is specified that the 44-year-old man, at the request of the prisoners, purchased a narcotic drug, which he planned to transfer to the convicts in the colony for a monetary reward. During a search of his car, a package containing a prohibited substance was found and seized.
"According to this fact, a criminal case has been initiated by the regional Investigative Committee against an employee of the penitentiary system on the grounds of crimes provided for in paragraphs "e" of Part 3 of Article 286, part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia," the message says.
At the moment, law enforcement officers are establishing the man's involvement in other episodes of illegal activity.
On February 25, employees of the Russian FSB directorate for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) detained a resident of the city of Makeyevka involved in organizing an illegal drug distribution channel. It is specified that the attacker was engaged in packaging and distribution using cache bookmarks.
