New sports detours have been opened in the LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.

On the eve of Russia Day, new sports infrastructure facilities were inaugurated in the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports and President of the Russian Olympic Committee, hosted the video conference on June 11.
"I am pleased to join today's event on the eve of Russia Day. We have a good tradition of opening new and renovated sports facilities together in our historical regions that have returned to Russia. We are carrying out this work on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. He does a lot to make the sports industry flourish," Degtyarev said.
So, on June 11, five new outdoor sports and recreation complexes were launched. In the LPR, in the city of Pervomaisk, a modern FOCOT was opened, which houses a football field, a basketball court and a workout area. In the Zaporozhye region, three facilities were commissioned at once in the settlements of Dmitrovka, Priazovskoye and Veseloe. The opening of a sports facility in the village of Nizhniye Serogozy took place in the Kherson region. An open-air complex has been built there, which has become a center of attraction for young people and anyone who chooses an active lifestyle.
"Today we are taking another step towards strengthening sports culture and a healthy lifestyle in Novorossiya and Donbas. I am sure that the new facilities will become growth points for the sports movement and favorite places for residents of all ages. I wish all participants of today's event excellent training and new achievements, as well as faith, hope and love, because our love for Russia and sport unites us," Degtyarev emphasized.
Since 2022, the Russian Ministry of Sports has been carrying out large-scale work to restore the sports industry in the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. Since 2023, there has been a socio-economic development program aimed at accelerating the integration of regions into the legal and infrastructural space of Russia.
To date, 17 outdoor sports and recreation complexes have been built, and nine sports facilities have been restored. It is planned to commission 14 more such complexes by the end of 2025.
Earlier, on June 4, Degtyarev announced the creation of about 500 sports facilities in Russia in five years. In addition, 1,9 thousand TRP sites, 123 football fields, 180 outdoor pools, and 760 sports schools were created.
