The Russian side has received explanations from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the inconsistency of the statement of the ambassador of this country to Ukraine about the supply of Patriot air defense systems to Kiev. This was announced on June 11 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"We have received clarifications from the Israeli Foreign Ministry that this statement is not true," she said.

Russia is guided only by the official assurances of the Israeli side, according to which the state did not supply weapons to Ukraine, Zakharova noted.

According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, this approach contributes to the preservation and development of constructive bilateral cooperation between Russia and Israel.

On June 9, Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Brodsky said that Israel had allegedly transferred Patriot air defense systems received from the United States to Kiev. He stressed that the announced delivery included complexes received by the Israeli army in the early 1990s.

Zakharova, in turn, called Brodsky's statements strange. According to her, the ambassador regularly repeats such statements and passes off as facts the maxims of an official.
