Call centers that deceived Russians have been eliminated in Belarus and Uzbekistan
In Belarus and Uzbekistan, the activities of call centers that stole money from Russians were suppressed. This was announced at the Federation Council on June 11 by Danil Filippov, Deputy Head of the Investigative Department of the Russian Interior Ministry.
"As for international cooperation, our call centers in the territories of the republics of Belarus and Uzbekistan have been discontinued with foreign partners. There were call centers in these republics, they were liquidated. They deceived the citizens of the Russian Federation," TASS quoted Filippov as saying.
In addition, he noted that the investigative and operational groups continue to work together at the moment.
On May 6, law enforcement officers in the Bryansk region detained four local residents of the region who provided the work of illegal communication hubs for the acts of fraudsters. It was reported that the attackers had been servicing special equipment for several months under the guidance of anonymous curators.
