In Russia, the damage from remote theft in four months of 2025 amounted to 64 billion rubles. This was announced on June 11 by Danil Filippov, Deputy head of the Investigative Department of the Russian Interior Ministry, in the Federation Council.

According to him, more than 308 thousand IT crimes were recorded this year. Most of which are remote thefts.

"The damage in four months amounted to 64 billion rubles. This is 17% more than in the same period last year," TASS quoted him as saying.

In addition, Filippov added that most of the stolen funds were withdrawn from Russia.

Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov reported on March 19 that in 2024 the number of crimes in the field of information and communication technologies increased by 13%, the proportion reached 40%, and less than a quarter (23%) were solved. According to him, the damage from remote theft amounted to almost 200 billion rubles, of which only a small part has been reimbursed.
