- The teacher named ways to strengthen school knowledge in summer without stress for children

Summer holidays are an ideal time not only to relax, but also to strengthen school knowledge. During the holidays, you can not only learn something new, but also sort out the material that was poorly absorbed during classes. Victoria Podsukhina, a teacher and head of regional teaching at the educational company MAXIMUM Education, told Izvestia about this on June 12.
"Reading school literature can be organized in the format of a family book club, where everyone discusses what they have read. It develops analytical thinking and strengthens family ties," explained Podsukhina.
To study natural sciences, the specialist offers non-standard approaches. Creative activities will help younger students, and safe home experiments in physics and chemistry will help high school students.
"Observing nature and collecting herbariums are excellent substitutes for biology textbooks," the teacher added.
The expert also paid attention to educational camps. According to her, modern thematic shifts combine recreation with learning, developing not only knowledge, but also communication skills.
The main principles of summer training, according to the expert, are consistency and motivation. "It is important to dose the load by combining different formats: experiments, excursions, games. The main thing is to show that learning can be interesting," the expert concluded.
"Such camps are often organized on the basis of schools or educational centers. They combine relaxation with useful learning activities. The main advantage of this format is that children perceive learning as part of the entertainment process and do not feel the usual school pressure," explained Podsukhina.
The main principles of effective summer education, according to the teacher, are consistency, interactivity and motivation. It is important to organize regular, but not overburdening classes that will take place in an interesting way for the child. It is best to combine different formats — experiments, excursions, games - to maintain interest and show practical application of knowledge.
The main task of parents and teachers for the summer is not to force the child to study, but to show that gaining knowledge can be an exciting process that goes far beyond the school curriculum.
However, she reminded: it is important to remember that summer, first of all, should remain a time of rest and recuperation, therefore, educational activity should be dosed and bring joy.
Earlier, on May 20, Kristina Ivanenko, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Presidential Academy (RANEPA), told how parents can help a student decide on a future profession. The specialist noted that parents should not take the position of an expert, but rather become a mentor for the child and together with him look for ways to solve the problem.
