The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), under pressure from Western countries, has not demonstrated the ability to admit Ukraine's guilt in the attacks that threaten the safety of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). This was stated on June 11 at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"Under pressure from Western countries, the agency's leadership is still hesitant to publicly name Ukraine as the guilty party in creating threats to the nuclear and physical security of the facility," the diplomat noted.

She noted that the IAEA's assessment does not change even though the agency's Director General, Rafael Grossi, witnessed attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) more than once during his visits to the station.

At the same time, Russia, for its part, regularly reports to the IAEA member states on the provocations of the Kiev regime against the Russian nuclear power plant at sessions of decision-making bodies, Zakharova said.

On June 5, Grossi called for an immediate end to "incidents involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)" near nuclear power plants, as they can pose a serious threat to the safety of facilities. Prior to that, on June 3, the head of the Rosatom state corporation, Likhachev, said that the situation at the nuclear power plant after the provocations of the Kiev regime was very difficult, but it was under control. According to him, the power transmission line supplying the city was almost completely destroyed.

Then, on June 6, after a meeting with Grossi in Kaliningrad, Likhachev announced that Rosatom was preparing to restart the nuclear power plant.
