The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) has approved a decree by President Vadim Krasnoselsky on the introduction of a state of economic emergency on the territory of the republic for 30 days. This was announced on June 11 in the press service of the legislative body.

"The Supreme Council of the PMR has approved the decree of the President of Pridnestrovie "On the introduction of an economic emergency in the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic," the message on the website of the Supreme Council says.

It is reported that the introduction of a new state of emergency in the economy is necessary to restore the necessary conditions for the viability of the republic and to meet the basic needs of the population.

Last time, on April 30, the Parliament of Transnistria extended the state of emergency in the economy until June 8. Then it was extended for the fifth time.

Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Rechan announced on February 13 that the European energy company MET Group had started supplying gas to Transnistria. Rechan added that according to the Hungarian supply chain, the government only checks operations for legality.
