Employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol have stopped the activities of a group of people suspected of fraud in obtaining benefits for participants in a special military operation (SVO). This was announced on June 11 in the press service of the department.

"Three residents of Simferopol, posing as employees of law enforcement agencies, organized a fraudulent scheme to steal funds intended for payments for the conclusion of a contract for military service in the free military zone," the report says.

It is clarified that the suspects persuaded citizens to conclude contracts and demanded that money be transferred, allegedly as a bribe for paperwork on unfitness for service. According to the report, the attackers had no genuine opportunities to influence such decisions.
