Experts have warned Russians about a new scheme of pollsters

Russians began receiving calls from intruders who pretend to be employees of various research organizations in order to record a person's voice to create deepfakes. This was announced on June 11 by Tatiana Deshkina, Deputy Director of Products at VisionLabs.
"Scammers can pose as employees of various research organizations and centers of sociological research in order to record a person's voice and clone it in the future to create a deepfake. The main task of the attackers is to keep the user on the line as long as possible," she told RIA Novosti.
According to her, scammers need a voice recording of about 20 seconds in length, while it should be with different intonation and without noise. The expert added that a longer conversation would allow scammers to better imitate a person's voice. The greatest danger is posed by combined schemes in which a fake voice is superimposed on an image or video.
"In the near future, mobile phones, social networks, and messengers will most likely also receive embedded systems for recognizing content created using neural networks," Deshkina said.
On May 16, it became known that fraudsters had complicated the standard scheme of deceiving Russians and introduced a new stage there. At first, they call on behalf of couriers, imitating inexperienced scammers. Then, pretending that they forgot to turn off the microphone, they discuss the "divorce plan." After that, they contact the victim on behalf of Roskomnadzor and coax out the real code to log in to the online bank.
