The protests in California are evidence of internal problems in the United States that have nothing to do with Beijing or Moscow. This was announced on June 11 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"It's a deep story. There are elections, they don't have elections. People hate each other. And this is not some segment, and this is not some kind of merit that they have been referring to all along. This is not the hand of the Kremlin or the machinations of Beijing," Zakharova said on Sputnik radio.

The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry also stressed that this is an internal problem of the United States, when "one half of the country hates the other."

Mass protests in California began after a police raid on June 8 to identify illegal migrants, during which 45 people were detained. Izvestia correspondent Nikolai Masters said on June 10 that residents began throwing fireworks at police officers, committing acts of robbery and breaking into establishments.

On June 11, it was reported that the number of protesters detained by the police was consistently increasing. It was noted that 27 people were arrested on Saturday, 40 people on Sunday, and 114 people on Monday. In addition, on Tuesday, June 10, the authorities took 197 people into custody.
