- More than a third of Ukrainians expressed willingness to cede territories for the sake of peace
Almost 40% of Ukrainians agree to give up territories for the sake of a peaceful settlement of the conflict and the end of hostilities. This follows from a survey conducted by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
"We are ready to accept certain territorial losses — 38%," the document says.
204 respondents participated in the study. At the same time, it is noted that the share of Ukrainians with such a position on territorial concessions has increased fourfold in two years.
On June 10, the State Duma responded to the words of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about forcing Moscow to make peace. State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova said that Russia does not need to be forced to make peace, since the country is already in favor of resolving the conflict with Ukraine and calls for negotiations.
